Floral Arranging:

Window Treatments:

This client desperately needed some relief from the late afternoon sun that glared through these windows. She loved the view, just not the 4 o’clock sun. She did not want blinds or shades because that would take away from the view of her backyard. To solve this dilemma I put a single wooden curtain rod across the top of the windows. Then I hung long curtain panels at the seam of the windows. By doing so, she can open and close the curtains as she pleases. It also creates a finished look for the closed-in patio where she spends most of her day

Before and After :

Dining Room:
This client had a table and color on the walls, but needed window treatments and accessories. She also wanted to keep the tapestry if possible. Leslie kept the tapestry in the room and also incorporated a precious heirloom of the client. Her grandmother's rose colored drinking glasses are displayed next to the floral centerpiece on the table.

Bathroom:

This early 1990s bathroom was in need of some updates. A change in the lighting, wall color/texture, and mirrors did wonders for this bathroom! Two mirrors separated the two vanities. The wall paper was replaced with beautiful Venetian plaster. The cabinets were painted to accent the wall color and bring out the color of the countertops. The light fixture was also replaced with a more modern traditional one. A small shelf was added to the center to help with storage.

Laundry Room:

This laundry room needed some order and function. The shelves were not within arm's reach and the hanging clothes were always in the way of the washer and dryer's control panel. The shelves were replaced with 2 matching cabinets that hide the necessities and brought these things within reach. The hanging clothes were moved to a clothes rod just outside the laundry room in the garage (not seen in picture). Color was added to the walls to help complete the new look.

Bachelor Pad:

This bachelor pad had the essentials, but did not have the comfortable "at home" feeling for the client. By adding just a few accessories, I was able to bring personality, color, style and texture to the home, in addition to achieving the peaceful atmosphere the customer desired.

The study lacked organization and area definition. I defined the study area by moving the desk perpendicular to the wall. This created a little nook in the corner that clearly defined that area as the study. I moved the TV out of the area completely. By doing so, this added more space to eventually add a small shelf and/or small table for a printer or other study-related items. The artwork hanging on the wall was sentimental to the client and he wanted it to be incorporated into the new look. This is a frequent request by clients as they will have attractive pieces, but don't know how to incorporate them into their existing decor. So, I always try to use existing items before incurring any additional cost.

Office Space :

This office space needed a comfortable and stylish waiting room.  The four simple, yet elegant chairs provide optimal seating and contribute color and texture to the small space.

The decorative shelving, artwork, and tree provide just enough flavor to the hallway and open area of the office without interrupting the traffic flow to and from the waiting room and other areas of the office. The color scheme is very soothing and is an excellent background for a productive work day.
